Kawaii-Shop

t f B! P L

If you visit Kyoto,  definitely go to "Aritsugu".
"Aritsugu" has some of the best kitchen knives in the world, I think!

Aritsugu - Kitchen Knives' Shop

While you are in Nishiki Market, please have a look at this shop!

Aritsugu✨

Choose your favorite knife for sushi, veritable, meat, and others.

The shop staff will show you how to use it, and how to care for it✨
And you can also have your name engraved in Japanese or English.

The knives start at around 10,000yen!
I think, it is not so expensive.

Other Kitchen Goods

Aritsugu is very fomous for kitchen knives.
But it has other kitchien goods.

Here are brass pots, small cutting boards,
beer cups and others.

Also, it has many cutting dies 👇🏻

Craftsmen make them by hand.
Quality is so good✨

There are many Japanese style design cutting dies✨

Ginkgos, cherry blossoms, and gourds.

History of Aritsugu

Aristugu was founded in 1,560 as a swordsmith (!)
It has been in business for over 450 years.

It worked for the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Many professional users  use Aritsugu's knives.

I love the Cutting Die

When I visited Aritsugu, I bought a crane die 👇🏻

After going back to my home, I made sugar confectionery with my crane die.

I was able to mould very beautifully and easily✨
